Apple TV has revealed the release date for the third season of the hit comedy series Shrinking, which stars Harrison Ford and Jason Segel

A beloved comedy series is making its comeback for a third season with an impressive ensemble cast as Apple TV announces the launch date.

Apple TV has now unveiled the premiere date and sneak peek at the 11-episode third series of the Emmy Award-nominated comedy programme Shrinking.

Headlined by Emmy Award nominee Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother) and multi-award winner Harrison Ford (Star Wars), alongside outstanding performances from gifted performers, viewers will witness the return of familiar favourites as well as some fresh, yet recognisable, faces.

The series follows a mourning therapist who chooses to become more personally invested in his patients’ journeys, and fans won’t have much longer to wait.

Landing on the streaming service on January 28, 2026, episodes will drop weekly until April 8, 2026, reports the Express.

Apple TV reveals: “Shrinking follows a grieving therapist (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.”

Viewers will witness the return of Christa Miller, Emmy Award nominee Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Emmy nominee Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley.

Alongside the returning ensemble, Shrinking’s third series welcomes back guest performers Brett Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr. , Wendie Malick and Cobie Smulders.

However, audiences are in for a special surprise with exciting new arrivals Jeff Daniels and multi-award winner and campaigner Michael J. Fox.

Crafted by Emmy Award winners Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein alongside Segel, “Shrinking” has struck a chord with audiences, with the second series earning a stellar 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

One viewer gushed: “A very strong second season! Can’t wait for more!”

Another enthused: “I loved loved this series I connected with the characters and when it was finished I felt a piece of me was missing! Great show!”

A third fan raved: “Haven’t loved a TV series as much as I love this in a loonngg time. Writing is consistent and strong. It’s irreverent in the best way possible and gives truth to the dark humour of pain and grief.

“Jason Segel and Ford give Emmy winning performances in their classic roles. I love love love it. I hope Apple keeps this on air for years to come.”

Meanwhile, a fourth viewer shared: “Loved series 1, and series 2 has just gotten better. So well written, and every show has many belly laugh moments, alongside many insightful ones. Totally addicted and trying not to binge the whole lot in one go! Update: Did all 12 episodes in a week, and can’t wait for series 3!”

Both series of Shrinking are currently available to watch on Apple TV.
