The Celebrity Traitors has become one of the most popular shows in the UK and the BBC have now confirmed when the star-studded series’ finale episode will air

The Celebrity Traitors’ finale date has been confirmed – and it’s not when you think.

The star-studded version of the show has proven to be a massive hit with audiences as famous faces such as Alan Carr, Paloma Faith, Jonathan Ross and Stephen Fry travelled to Scotland to try and win £100,000 for their chosen charities.

Despite initial doubts about whether a celebrity version could match the success of the original civilian show, the premiere episode of Celebrity Traitors attracted over 11.7 million viewers.

It has been announced that the series finale will air on Thursday 6 November at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer. The show’s final episode was previously expected to air on Friday 31 October.

Fans have theorised that the decision to air The Celebrity Traitors finale a week later is due to potentially low viewership numbers, although this has not been confirmed or denied by the BBC. Many fans will be out on Friday 31st celebrating Halloween, while the following Wednesday 5 November is Bonfire Night.

Viewers can look forward to an extended 70-minute episode where either the Faithfuls will triumph or fall to the Traitors, reports the Mirror.

Fans can also carry on the fun with a special extended edition of The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked on BBC Two and Sounds following the grand finale. Host Ed Gamble will welcome the entire celebrity lineup, those who made it to the end and presenter Claudia Winkleman as they dissect the final episode.

During his recent podcast Real Talk with Honey and Johnathan Ross, the TV presenter admitted that lying to his fellow contestants left him feeling very uneasy: “We were lying all the time, because you’re sharing a car with people in the morning and even though we were not meant to be talking about the game, sometimes people do, and so you’re lying.”

“You’re on guard. Imagine you’re trying to guard a big secret, which is not just a secret you have but a secret you have that the others know someone has, and they are trying to get it out of you. So you’re on the defence all the time.”
