Celebrity Traitors viewers are convinced that they have worked out who will be the next star to be banished from the BBC show after a clue in the latest episode

Celebrity Traitors viewers are certain that David Olusoga is heading for the chop after his blunder in failing to boot out Traitor Jonathan Ross.

Wednesday evening’s episode (October 29) of the BBC programme saw the Faithful contestants finally sniffing out a Traitor – telly personality Jonathan.

Apart from historian David, every remaining contestant scribbled Jonathan’s name on their voting slates, including his Traitor allies Alan Carr and Cat Burns. However, David opted for Nick Mohammed instead.

Fans now reckon David’s gaffe will paint a target on his back, with the remaining players set to come for him, making him the next casualty to exit Ardross Castle.

Plenty of people have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their predictions about David’s impending doom, reports Wales Online.

One branded him “a banishment target” following his roundtable showing, whilst another concurred: “David has made himself look suspicious.”

“David that dodge vote is gonna get you gone hun,” remarked another viewer.

Someone else weighed in: “Surely David is in trouble at the next roundtable by being the only person not to vote for Jonathan? Plus the fact Jonathan voted for him. Joe (Marler) has got to jump on that!”

“David is done for thanks to that theory,” echoed another watcher, as someone else pondered: “David is the only one who didn’t go for Jonathan, so will they get rid of him next?”

Others highlighted that David had also raised eyebrows by declaring there were three Traitors, when only the Traitors themselves are privy to the actual count. David’s comment sparked a flurry of speculation among viewers, with many theorising that his remark would draw attention to him as the next person of interest.

“All eyes will be on David next, only person to note vote Jonathan and he said there is three!” one fan speculated.

Another viewer expressed confusion over David’s strategy, querying: “David is just playing his own game at this point, how is he so wrong all the time?”

The episode also saw Jonathan bid farewell to the castle, but not before delivering a deceptive speech that left everyone in stitches. The star kept up the pretence until the last moment that he was a Faithful, questioning the contestants about their missteps.

However, he dropped a bombshell at the end, revealing: “I am now, and I have all through the game been completely faithful… to the Traitors!”

Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One.
