Strictly Come Dancing fans were left fuming as they begged for a change to be made to the BBC show after they were left ‘annoyed’ by one detail of the programme

Strictly Come Dancing’s annual Spooktacular made a comeback on Saturday evening (November 1), but fans were left disgruntled over one aspect of the show.

Judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke embraced the Halloween theme as they returned to their seats to critique the remaining 10 celebrities, dishing out both tricks and treats in the form of scores.

The Halloween week marks a significant point in the competition, being nearly halfway through. The themed live show is among the most cherished episodes of the BBC series, alongside Blackpool, Movie Week, Musicals and Icons.

However, after Vicky Pattison and her professional dance partner Kai Widdrington performed an American Smooth to Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Total Eclipse of The Heart’, the judges offered their feedback.

But Craig was met with boos from the studio audience, much to the annoyance of viewers at home.

One viewer vented on X: “PETITION TO STOP BOOING CRAIG #strictly,” while another commented: “I’m all for the panto element of this show but why does Craig get booed when he’s giving genuine constructive criticism #Strictly”, reports Wales Online.

A third added: “Here we go…the audience booing Craig for giving proper feedback….. you are soooo boringly predictable. Give it a rest week after week it’s now boring #Strictly.”

“Half the nation when Craig has something to say: #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly,” quipped one fan.

Another pointed out: “Craig gives fair constructive feedback… audience: boo! ! ! #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing #scd.”

Last week, ex-Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope and his dance partner Katya Jones were the stars of Strictly, topping the leaderboard with 34 points thanks to their Johnny Cash Quickstep that wowed the judges.

Sadly, it was curtains for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and his partner Lauren Oakley, who exited the competition after a dance-off against Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin.

Here’s your guide to Saturday night’s Strictly performances:

  • Alex and Johannes – Salsa to Horny by Mousse T feat. Hot ‘n’ Juicy.
  • Amber and Nikita – Viennese Waltz to I See Red by Everybody Loves an Outlaw.
  • Balvinder and Julian – Samba to Stay by Shakespears Sister.
  • Ellie and Vito – Tango to Abracadabra by Lady Gaga.
  • George and Alexis – Cha Cha Cha to Apple by Charli XCX.
  • Harry and Karen – American Smooth to Mystical Magical by Benson Boone.
  • Karen and Carlos – Argentine Tango to Red Right Hand by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.
  • La Voix and Aljaž – Paso Doble to Beethoven’s 5th.
  • Lewis and Katya – Couple’s Choice to Creep by Radiohead.

The Strictly Come Dancing results show airs on Sunday evening (November 2) on BBC One and iPlayer
