Ferrari star Charles Leclerc has announced his engagement to Italian model partner Alexandra Saint Mleux as the couple adorably celebrated with their dog Leo

Charles Leclerc has announced his engagement to partner Alexandra Saint Mleux in an adorable Instagram post.

The Ferrari F1 star is the heartthrob of the sport, and the news will undoubtedly leave his fans jealous as the couple celebrated their news with Leo, the couple’s dog.

Leclerc, 28, and Alexandra, 22, uploaded a joint Instagram post captioned: “Mr². & Mrs. Leclerc (ring and love heart emojis)”. The first picture showed just how central Leo was to the announcement as the couple kissed the dachshund, who was wearing a dog tag with the words “Dad wants to marry you” engraved.

The couple then cuddled up together for another picture as Alexandra flaunted her ring before enjoying romantic celebratory treats with a large “A&C” cookie sitting in the middle of the table next to bouquets of roses.

Leclerc’s former Ferrari team-mate Carlos Sainz led the congratulations in the comments section, writing: “Yesssss.” Oscar Piastri said: “Congrats!” Ferrari’s official Instagram page commented: “Fantastic news!! Congratulations” While the verified F1 page added: “Congratulations to you both!”

The Monegasque star is worth an estimated $125million (£110m), and according to jeweller specialist Laura Taylor, Alexandra’s ring is worth at least $525,000 (£461,000).

“Alexandra’s engagement ring features a gorgeous oval cut diamond set on a platinum pave band. The diamond looks to be around 5 to 6 carats, with a truly bright appearance that suggests it’s of exceptional quality,” Taylor said to Daily Mail.

“If the diamond is natural and of exceptional quality, I’d estimate the ring to be worth upwards of £400,000 ($525,000).”

Leclerc has been with Alexandra since 2023, with the 22-year-old Italian first spotted in the background of a video of Leclerc at the Paris Fashion Week in March 2023.

Alexandra is a social media influencer and has become a fashion model and digital content creator while finishing her university studies in art literature.

Their relationship has remained largely out of the spotlight after Leclerc announced his split from architect Charlotte Sine in December 2022. He previously dated Italian model Giada Gianna for four years before they split in 2019.

Leclerc is set to join a small list of married F1 drivers with Nico Hulkenberg the only married driver currently on the grid, with Sergio Perez to join the list when he returns to the grid with Cadillac next year.

Meanwhile Fernando Alonso and Valtteri Bottas we previously married. Although most of the grid are currently in committed relationships.
