Jeremy Clarkson has admitted that he finds his Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper “difficult to talk to” due to one major thing that drives a wedge in their friendship

Jeremy Clarkson says he finds Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper hard to talk with. The TV personality has confessed that his Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper often leaves him feeling “exasperated”. Kaleb has been a staple member of Jeremy’s Diddly Squat Farm since 2021 and Clarkson sees his farm manager most days, but admits “it’s often difficult to get a conversation going” due to Kaleb’s apparent lack of general knowledge.

While praising Kaleb’s farming expertise, Jeremy finds it “exasperating” that he’s never heard of legendary rock band Fleetwood Mac, actor Robert De Niro, the composer Mozart and has never seen a James Bond film.

In his new book Diddly Squat: The Farmer’s Dog, Jeremy wrote: “I see Kaleb Cooper, my farm manager, most days but it’s often difficult to get a conversation going. It’s not that he’s thick, he really isn’t. You can ask him how much diesel you’ll need in a 150-horsepower tractor to clear 40 bales from a nine-acre field and he’ll know in an instant.”

“But he’s never heard of Robert De Niro and he’s never watched a James Bond film. It transpired last week that’s he’s never heard of Fleetwood Mac, and I found this exasperating. He tried to argue that they were before his time. ‘Yes, but so was Mozart,’ I thundered. ‘Who’s Mozart?’ he replied,” reports the Express.

It appears Jeremy and Kaleb are poles apart in more ways than one. The former Grand Tour presenter was rather unimpressed with Kaleb’s awareness of current affairs, implying that his knowledge of the Ukraine conflict stems solely from its effect on fertiliser costs.

Jeremy added: “Naturally, he has little interest in world affairs. He is aware of the war in Ukraine but only because it affected the price of fertiliser. Gaza, though? He won’t have heard of that and I think he’d struggle to name both candidates in the coming elections.”

“He’s not even that clued up on events closer to home. Let’s not forget that when he met Rishi Sunak, he thought he was the president and that his name was Ricky.”
