Cristiano Ronaldo has outlined a possible timeframe for when he decides its time to retire – but the Al-Nassr ace has admitted it won’t be an easy decision

Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he might be ready to hang up his football boots very soon.

Ronaldo, 40, is currently playing for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr and he’s already got his eyes on “other passions”, but speaking to Piers Morgan he said the decision will be “very, very difficult”.

Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the former Manchester United ace was asked if he has an age in mind for retirement: “Soon. But I think I will be prepared. It will be tough, of course.

“Will be difficult, yes. Probably I will cry, yes…It will be very, very difficult but I’ve prepared my future since (I was) 25, 26, 27 years old. So I think I will be capable to support that pressure.”

When quizzed if anything could match his joy for football, Ronaldo added: “Nothing will be [able to] compare that the adrenaline that we have for football to score a goal.

“But everything has a beginning, and everything has an end. I have other passions. I’m going to have more time for me, I’m going to have more time for my family to raise my kids.

“I want to follow Cristiano Junior because he’s at an age when kids do stupid things. I was the same. Mateo loves football as well.”

Ronaldo has five children, two with his current partner Georgina Rodriguez.

He added: “I want to be more a family person, more present. Also, to have my own hobbies. I like to see UFC, the fights. I like padel.

“I like and I want to learn more about my companies.

“I’ll never be a YouTuber, of course, but I want to be there. I’m going to spend more time on that to learn.

“I think I’m going to do funny things and things I’m not used to doing before. Because I live football 24 hours (a day) to do the right things and perform.”
