Nicola Peltz has broken her silence after father-in-law David Beckham was knighted at Windsor Castle on 4 November, a ceremony which she and husband Brooklyn Beckham did not attend

Nicola Peltz-Beckham has broken her social media silence after father-in-law David Beckham’s knighthood.

The Transformers actress, who is married to David’s eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, recently uploaded her first post since David’s knighthood ceremony.

Her message made no reference to the historic moment. Instead, Nicola reached out to her own family member, sister Brittany Peltz, and posted a picture of an enormous bunch of pastel-hued peonies from her sibling with the message: “Thank you so so much. They are breathtaking.”

The heiress gave no hint as to what prompted the floral gesture.

Both Nicola and Brooklyn were missing from Windsor Castle on 4 November as footballing legend David Beckham received his knighthood.

His wife Victoria, his mum and dad, plus children Cruz, Romeo and Harper supported him, but the couple did not attend amid an alleged ongoing family feud.

The couple also remained silent on social media and did not publicly praise David, reports the Mirror.

After David kneeled down in front of King Charles he spoke to The Sun about his family: “Today has been such an emotional day, more emotion than nerves, in all honesty. There have been a few tears and a lot of emotion. It’s been a very special day.”

The former Manchester United legend noted that his achievement is something the Beckhams can “all be proud of today as a family”.

“To have my parents there today, to have my wife there to celebrate with my children, it makes it a very emotional day […] so that important [charity] work will always continue, but today is just a day to savour as a family.”

Romeo posted a sweet message saying “no-one deserved this more than you [Dad],” while Victoria shared a heartwarming tribute of her own.

She wrote: “David, from the moment I met you 28 years ago, you’ve always been so proud to represent your country. Whether on or off the pitch, no one loves England or respects our Royal Family more, so to see you honoured by The King today is something I’ll forever cherish.”

“You’ve achieved so much and yet you’re still the same kind, humble, hardworking man I met nearly 30 years ago, as well as the most amazing husband and father. I’ve never felt prouder than I do today.”
