Still, kudos to the McElhinneys — brothers Ryan and John (aka Johnny Rice, married to Lailar from Chang Mai; all makes sense, huh?) — who have built a solid Thairish empire in south London (they have three other pubs). So you can have a prawn curry, spring rolls and crispy pork belly with your pints. And even a spice bag now, the classic Irish takeaway (Chinese-inspired, sure) comprising chips, fried chicken, chilli, spring onions. Very much about to take off in London.
