The pair fought earlier in 2025 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Eubank emerging victorious via unanimous decision back in April.

It was a fight that had been on the cards for a number of years, and the original date was pulled at the final hour in October 2022, when Benn tested positive for the banned substance clomifene twice.

Eubank defeated Benn in a bout that went the distance in north London, but both men are vowing that the judges will not be needed this time around.

Weight has always been a sticking point when these two are discussed, and last time around, Eubank was fined £375,000 for weighing over the 160lbs limit. However, he was on-weight on fight day itself.

What is the rehydration clause?

The rematch this weekend will be fought at the middleweight limit once more – 160lbs.

That is three pounds more than the limit agreed when the pair were due to meet three years ago.

Benn, a natural welterweight, moved up two divisions to make this fight happen the first time around, but the rehydration clause means that Eubank will not have a significant size advantage on fight day.

The rehydration clause limits both men from adding another 10lbs to their weight between the official weigh-in and fight night.

Hence, neither will be allowed to come in at more than 170lbs.

Last time, Eubank’s scale reading was 169.4lbs, while Benn stepped on at 165lbs.

After that final check, fighters are able to add whatever weight they want in the hours before the bout.
