The celebrity wheel turns. 2025 has given us some dramatic moments in the world of pop culture — but nothing gets our collective interest piqued quite as much as the subject of who might (or might not) be dating whom.
But for every couple that gets together, the law of averages states that another must dramatically split. Such is the case with Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, who look to be the latest in a long line of celeb casualties stretching back to the start of the year.
Who else called it quits, and who’s struck up a new connection? Funny you should say that; we’ve combed through the annals and come up with the definitive list.

Can it be? Is the great love affair finally over? Apparently, yes. According to reports, the pair split recently, with Kylie attending Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday bash all by herself (and apparently looking “lonely”). We don’t know anything for certain yet, but according to reports it was Timothée Chalamet who dumped Kylie Jenner, bringing their a two year romance to a rather crushing close.
Not much else has come out since then, but breakup rumours have been swirling for a while – in October, it was claimed that the two clashed, and almost separated, due to their opposing views on marriage (Kylie for, he against). We only know one thing for certain: we will miss their very over the top PDAs at all awards ceremonies henceforth.
Together: Olivia Rodrigo and Louis Partridge

Fortunately, the most wholesome couple in showbiz still are together. The pair have been going out since 2023, and have kept things pretty private since then – but we’ve still been treated to snippets, like Olivia sitting on Louis’ shoulders to watch Pulp’s set at Glastonbury, or seeing them on the red carpet together. In October, the pair walked the Academy Museum Gala red carpet hand-in-hand; they’ve been papped at Wimbledon. Basically, they seem very loved up, and good for them.
Over: Emma Corrin and Rami Malek

You may have missed this one, so low-key was the announcement. If that’s the case, let us be the first to tell you that Emma Corrin and Rami Malek are no more. The acting couple were together for two years, and bought a £5m house in Hampstead together last year; nevertheless, by April the news came out that they had been separated “for some time.”
The split was as private as the rest of their relationship; in 2024, we got a nugget from Malek that Corrin was “fascinating” and once cooked a surprise Thanksgiving dinner that “blew him away.” At least we’ve got Corrin’s upcoming appearance as Elizabeth Bennett in the new Pride and Prejudice adaptation to look forward to.
Together: Jessica Alba and Danny Ramirez

This one has been bubbling away in the background for a while, but it wasn’t made official until earlier this week, when the pair made their first official appearance together at the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala in Los Angeles – nine months after Alba originally filed for divorce from husband Cash Warren.
They were first spotted out together in July (a source told People at the time that Alba was “testing the water”) and the pair have matching superhero pedigrees. Ramirez recently appeared as Joaquin Torres (aka the new Falcon) in the latest Captain America film, while Alba (of course) played Sue Storm in the original Fantastic Four film – you know, the one featuring Ioan Gruffudd’s exceptionally bendy arms.
Over: Benito Skinner and Terrence O’Connor

He gave us one of the most iconic TV shows of the summer season (hello, Overcompensating), but Benito Skinner also broke up with his long-term partner Terrence O’Connor last month, after a staggering nine years together.
Skinner shared the news on his RIDE podcast, and said that “we both just love each other so much and have so much love and respect for each other… and we treated each other with love and respect until the end.”
Skinner, 31, met O’Connor (a photographer, who has worked with artists like Charli xcx and Haim) at a party in 2016, and had a “That’s So Raven moment, where I was immediately like, ‘I’m going to marry him.’” They’ve been together ever since, with O’Connor supporting Skinner’s transition to a career in acting.
In his podcast, Skinner also added that the pair had “spit-shook” on a promise that Terrence would never date anybody younger. Romance?
Together: Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun

They seem to have struck up a relationship after spending time together at the celeb wedding of the century (or its opposite, depending on your views): the Bezos/ Sanchez nuptials in Venice earlier this year. At first it was apparently a “casual fling”, but the pair are still together and an insider has reportedly told the Mail that Braun is “smitten.”
Over: Lily Allen and David Harbour

If there’s a breakup the world knows about, it’s this one. Still, we felt honour-bound to include it. After all, this could be the celebrity split to crown them all.
A quick refresher: Allen and Harbour got together in 2019, married after a whirlwind year in Vegas in 2020, and moved to New York together. Earlier this year, it was announced that they were separating; Allen took time off from Miss Me?, the podcast she runs with best friend Miquita Oliver, for mental health reasons.
Nine months later, bam: she drops West End Girl, an excoriating break-up album that accuses Harbour (or at least, her fictional husband) of a whole load of things, including breaking the rules of an open relationship. The internet went wild, and to add to the drama, Harbour has just kicked off his press tour for the final season of Stranger Things. Juicy.
Together: Rachel Zegler & Nathan Louis-Fernand

In November 2024, Zegler broke up with her West Side Story costar Josh Andrés Rivera. In May 2025, she started working on the West End production of Evita, where Louis-Fernand was working as a backing dancer. In fact, he’s a professional dancer: he’s appeared in Magic Mike Live, Hamilton, & Juliet and The Lion King. Quite a resume!
According to People, there was an “instant connection”, as Rachel “brings a very energetic and passionate energy to the production. Nathan’s attracted to this.”
A few months later, they were caught kissing at Sabrina Carpenter’s BST Hyde Park concert. And it looks like they’ve been going strong ever since.
Over: Jacob Elordi and Olivia Jade Giannulli

Scroll this way for news that will get the fans frothing. After three years together and numerous break-ups, Hollywood actor and Frankenstein star Elordi finally called it quits with girlfriend Giannulli. Who is Giannulli? A YouTuber, and the daughter of Lori Laughlin – and it was Giannulli’s application to study at the University of Southern California that ended up being embroiled in the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal.
They initially got together in 2021, shortly after Elordi broke up with Kaia Gerber, and initially called it off in August after a “rocky summer”. A source apparently told People that, as of October, it was now “fully over.”
“They are not getting back together. She’s fine about the Jacob split, she’s more upset about what’s going on with her father” – a reference to the fact that Laughlin and her longterm husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, announced their separation recently too.
Together? Billie Eilish & Nat Wolff

Rumours started swirling about this one back at the start of the year, but it wasn’t until June that things were properly confirmed – as in, pictures leaked of the pair snogging in Italy.
The groundwork for this one was laid quite a while ago, given that the pair have been friends since about March 2023, when Nat’s brother Alex (both of them are musicians) met Billie at an Oscars Party.
“Billie and me and my brother, we all have Tourette’s. And I think we all have bonded over that,” Alex went onto tell Variety. “Even when I saw Billie on interviews, I said, ‘Oh, she’s one of us.’” All three of them went to Coachella together in April 2024; in June, Nat appeared in the music video for Chihiro, and in September, it was announced that the Wolff brothers would be opening for her on tour.
Since the pictures came out, we’ve heard nothing… so stay tuned.
Over: Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban

Another celebrity breakup that was heard the world over: Aussie actor Nicole Kidman and her rocker husband Keith Urban. The pair split after a stonking 19 year romance that began when they met at a Los Angeles event honouring Australians (how apt) in 2005. It was her second marriage (see: Tom Cruise) and Urban’s first, and they seem to have been going strong until recently.
Last year, Kidman told people at a press event for her Netflix series The Perfect Couple that the term ‘perfect’ didn’t apply to their marriage, saying “you’re heading for trouble if you consider yourselves the perfect couple… I’m not a believer in perfect.” A few months before that, Urban brought Kidman to tears with a speech in which he said she showed him “what love in action really looks like.”
“Four months into our marriage, I’m in rehab for three months,” he said at the time. “Nic pushed through every negative voice, I’m sure even some of her own, and she chose love. And here we are 18 years later.”
And yet. In September, Kidman filed papers to a court in Nashville asking for the marriage to be annulled due to “marital difficulties and irreconcilable differences.”
