Bosses at Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham have warned people should think twice before booking tickets for the seasonal show because they may be offended

A theatre has warned customers their Robin Hood pantomine may be “too fun” for nervous guests. Bosses have said people should think twice before booking tickets for the seasonal show because they may be offended.

Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham warned that the production of Robin Hood and His Merry Men may be too “loud and cheeky” for those with a nervous disposition.

They also warned the family show was filled with jokes that might not be suitable for children.

The theatre’s content warning states: “Panto is a lot of fun but sometimes it can be a little bit loud and a little bit cheeky with some jokes that only grown-ups will understand”.

It advises people should bear the warning in mind when booking tickets that anyone with a “nervous or more sensitive disposition” may feel uncomfortable in the audience.

They added: “‘Please bear this in mind if you are bringing anyone under the age of five, or anyone with a nervous or more sensitive disposition.”

The woke warning comes just weeks after the British Board of Film Classification slapped a trigger warning on blockbuster Wicked for discrimination against a “green-skinned woman”.
