Another genuine family run restaurant, chef Joan Vidal is now the fourth generation there. The venue, with its large airy room, and windows looking directly onto the beach promenade past the church, is effortlessly charming. The atmosphere is extremely convivial, as if you have been invited to a private house. The food is wonderful, lovingly made and presented. Have the fresh, huge, meaty mussels to start, then the delicate, tasty clams. Wanting to devour all the local seafood, I then had the black rice with clams, prawns and cuttlefish. It was divine. This really is a special place — and at a fixed €43 menu, it’s an absolute bargain. restaurantcostadorada.com
