The former Prince is the most frequently mentioned of all Brits in the bombshell cache of 23,000 Jeffrey Epstein-linked documents handed to the US House Oversight Committee

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is the most frequently named Brit in the explosive trove of 23,000 documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein, handed over to the US House Oversight Committee by the Epstein estate.

The scandal-ridden Royal tops a list of more than 30 people who are named in the files, appearing an astonishing 173 times in total.

Appearing in the list does not imply any wrongdoing, with names such as Sir David Beckham, Naomi Campbell, Adele and Mick Jagger among those mentioned. Many, such as Beckham and Sir Elton John, are referenced in articles sent by Epstein to associates, reports the Mirror.

The documents were made searchable by Courier Newsroom, a left-leaning US digital media company.

The extensive database, unveiled as part of the House Oversight Committee’s ongoing release programme, encompasses emails, logs, letters, subpoenas, travel slips, legal notes, and interview summaries spanning decades.

While the sheer volume of British entries has ignited curiosity throughout Westminster, the monarchy, and the celebrity world.

To reiterate, the presence of a name does not suggest any misconduct, and Andrew has consistently refuted any wrongdoing in relation to the allegations against him.

But the prominence of the title-stripped former prince in the list dwarfs that of every other Brit, highlighting how his downfall became deeply intertwined with the Epstein scandal.

Trailing him in the list of named Brits is Jeffrey Epstein’s ex-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, who appears 135 times. Her disgraced father, the notorious newspaper tycoon Robert Maxwell, is referenced 47 times – making the Maxwells the second most frequently mentioned group of British figures based solely on volume.

The list is a veritable who’s who of British society, featuring prime ministers, rock stars, cultural icons and political provocateurs. They appear in the documents in various contexts – from being subjects of media gossip to attending the same events, or appearing in diary planning notes, correspondence or press discussions.

Among the political figures, Tony Blair is mentioned 22 times, David Cameron 19, Gordon Brown 16, and Peter Mandelson 10, writes the Mirror.

Brexit instigator Nigel Farage appears 18 times, while the late Diana, Princess of Wales, is listed 14 times. Even Queen Camilla makes an appearance nine times – but then so also does William Shakespeare, the legendary playwright who died more than 400 years ago.

The celebrity tier is equally glittering, with mentions of Mick Jagger (9), Adele (8), Bono (16), Elton John (8), David Beckham (9), and Colin Firth (10). It’s important again to reiterate that these entries do not imply any wrongdoing, only that their names have appeared in documents now under congressional examination.

Many are featured in articles shared with or by Epstein. Some pieces are repeatedly used, resulting in multiple mentions for some celebrities.

One of Beckham’s mentions came during a conversation between convicted sex offender Epstein and Boris Nikolic, a biotech venture capitalist. Under the subject “mission accomplished” (misspelled in the original), the two men were discussing “philanthropy”.

Nikolic sent Epstein an email on 13 January 2014, which included an article featuring admired sportsmen, including Beckham. Sir Elton also features in several articles that Epstein received.

In January 2011, sex offender Epstein is spotted emailing Nikolic, a former Bill Gates adviser, to establish whether Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick was in “town”. Epstein penned: “I can find out if mick jagger, ken starr, clinton. julie taymor, are in town/? I suggest we leave it till mon night.. I will have no trouble getting anyone you want. but i think it best after the three of us noodle a bit.”

Nikolic simply responds “Agree!”.

In January 2010, the biotech venture capitalist was present at the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, when he messaged Epstein, enquiring, “Any fun?” Nikolic responded that he had encountered “your friend” Bill Clinton, along with then-French President Nicholas Sarkozy and “your other friend,” Prince Andrew, “as he has some questions re microsoft.”

Naomi Campbell’s name surfaces in a March 2011 article claiming she stayed on Epstein’s Caribbean Island. Numerous other British celebrities, including Adele, are referenced in correspondence to Epstein from Peggy Siegal, a leading American entertainment publicist.

Reform UK chief Nigel Farage appears in messages exchanged between Epstein and Steve Bannon, Donald Trump’s former adviser.

The House Oversight Committee obtained the cache after the Epstein estate officially transferred the archive, following years of motions, subpoenas and legal wrangling. Committee members have been releasing material in successive batches, asserting that transparency is crucial to “closing every door that allowed Epstein to operate.”

The documents naming the Brits are separate from the massive collection held by the US Government, which the House voted to compel the Department of Justice to release on Tuesday night. The 23,000 files featuring British names were procured directly from Epstein’s estate and subsequently handed over to the committee.

But with further releases anticipated, a senior congressional aide issued a warning: “The British section is only the beginning. The political storm, on both sides of the Atlantic, is building.”
