According to wild theory the ‘alien spaceship’ has been tracked for years as part of a secret planetary defence mission and they’ve even uncovered ‘leaked’ images of 3I/ATLAS

The US secretly observed 3I/ATLAS for 20 years using never-seen-before technology, according to a wild new theory. NASA recently released new images of interstellar object, 3I/ATLAS, confirming it was a comet.

That followed months of wild theories the object was a potential alien spaceship, including claims from a Harvard researcher and US Congress member.

But as ever with the internet many remain unconvinced, and one sleuth claims the rock has actually been observed by NASA for 20 years as part of a secret planetary defence mission.

The blog post on Medium, as reported by International Business Times, claims to have found leaked images of the comet. It then goes on to discuss a 2005 academic paper, highlighting a programme named CASSANDRA, linking the two.

Observers of the images note unusual geometric patterns from what is purportedly 3I/ATLAS, claiming it to be inconsistent with natural cometary behaviour.

CASSANDRA was first presented at the 57th International Astronautical Congress in Valencia, Spain in 2006. The paper goes on to propose ways of detecting threatening objects at extreme distances, outlining ways of dealing with Near Earth Objects (NEOs).

Futuristic technology observing NEOs was then launched in 2022, and now users theorise this was all part of a 20-year plan.

While the images look convincing, they have not been verified. But that hasn’t stopped followers in the comments section buying into the theory.

One wrote: “My first thought is a controlled release, along with a few media/scientific personalities to present the idea to the public.

“If this is a real object heading to earth, the shock of it happening could destroy humanity itself but if it were a controlled release of constant nonofficial updates you can prime people to accept the reality without massive panic. It becomes normative.

“So if real, my thought is this would be a controlled and allowed ‘leak’.”

Another said: “This hits hard. It makes so much sense. Great work. I think you just gave me a giant piece of the crazy puzzle I’m trying to put together with this article. The bigger picture is wild and it has everything to do with this.”

At a press conference this week, senior NASA official, Amit Kshatriyas, said: “We want very much to find signs of life in the universe… but 3I/ATLAS is a comet.”

NASA added: “Captured at a scale of roughly 19 miles (30 kilometers) per pixel, 3I/ATLAS looks like a pixelated white ball on the HiRISE imagery.

“That ball is a cloud of dust and ice called the coma, which the comet shed as it continued its trajectory past Mars.”

Thomas Puzia, an astrophysicist who led the team at an observatory that made the discovery, said: “It’s very dangerous and to a certain degree misleading to put speculations ahead of scientific process.

“The facts, all of them without exception, point to a normal object that is coming from the interstellar space to us.”

New “straight line” anomalies spotted coming from the much-talked-about 3I/ATLAS comet/spaceship could be proof that it is possibly connected to extraterrestrials. A long-running battle between NASA and Israeli scientist Avi Loeb has been taking place for months over the mystery space object (probably a comet) called 3I/Atlas.

The make-up of the interstellar visitor has left boffins baffled for months. Some experts claim it is a comet, but theoretical physicist Loeb has suggested it could be an alien “mothership” on a reconnaissance mission as it blasts through the Solar System at 130,000mph.

Even SpaceX chief Elon Musk has conceded it could be of alien origin and urged space chiefs to continue to monitor its approach to make sure we know where it is going.

And while NASA claimed earlier this week that there was basically “nothing to see here” as it was just a comet, Loeb, a theoretical physicist and astrophysicist at Harvard University, has come forward with more new evidence to counteract those claims.

In his latest blog, he posed two questions based on new images showing bizarre straight lines coming from the object.

  1. Why are the sideways jets so straight and narrow, resembling thin lines, given that 3I/ATLAS was reported to rotate with a 16.16-hour period?
  2. Why are the two sideways jets oriented vertically to the tail and anti-tail associated with the 3I/ATLAS-Sun axis?

On the first, he said: “Given the typical thermal speed of 400 metres per second for sublimated volatiles at the current distance of 3I/ATLAS from the Sun, the rotation of 3I/ATLAS should have introduced gaps or wiggles in the jets on a length-scale of order tens of thousands of kilometres. Such periodic features are not apparent in the new image.”

And of the second, he mused: “We expect outgassing to emerge from the surface of a rock when it faces the Sun. The resulting gas or dust are expected to be pushed away from the Sun by radiation pressure and the solar wind. Both processes favour the 3I/ATLAS-Sun axis as the line of symmetry and not the vertical direction traced by the sideways jets.”
