Radiohead at the O2: ‘Their most gleeful, hit-packed set in memory’

The setting might be ripe but, back even a few months ago, the chances of seeing Thom Yorke, Jonny and Colin Greenwood, Philip Selway and Ed O’Brien grace a stage together before 2025 was through seemed highly unlikely. It’s been seven years since their last shows, and eight since they played on UK soil. The band still now (to public knowledge) have no new material in sight. Just last year, Yorke declared that he “didn’t really give a flying fuck” if people were crying out for a comeback or not. In the interim, meanwhile, the musician has also faced his own criticisms for deciding to perform in Israel (he later clarified his stance, declaring the war in Gaza a “humanitarian catastrophe”).
