Jonny Mitchell has welcomed his first child into the world.

The reality star, who fans will recall from the third series of ITV2’s Love Island in 2017 alongside Amber Davies, Olivia Attwood and Chris Hughes, shared the joyous news on Instagram this Wednesday (November 26).

He revealed his girlfriend had been rushed to hospital for an emergency caesarean section before their little one arrived.

The new father then detailed the “crazy journey” that led to Simone being whisked away for an emergency C-section, reports OK!.

“What a crazy journey this past week has been.. we planned for a nice smooth home birth, but of course life had some curveballs in store for us,” Jonny explained.

He went on: “Days of stress, pain and sleepless nights, complications came up and then eventually we were rushed to the hospital for an emergency C-section.

“With all the complications, stress, lack of sleep, and seeing someone you love suffering, my brain was racing to all kinds of possible outcomes, mostly not good.

“So I’m beyond grateful everything worked out.”

He then showered praise on his partner, declaring: “What a woman @engelhardtlund is.

“Going through 4 days of labour, in and out of extreme pain, undergoing surgery to get our boy here, and even now she’s making it all look easy like the Viking she is.

“Everything’s only now just starting to sink in and feel real! Time for the next chapter.”
