Monopoly fans really will be rolling in dough this month at a free festival blending bread with making money. Dough Fest, a two-day foodie free-for-all will feature globe-trotting flavours and the chance to roll the dice to win a sweet treat.

The event is inspired by the hit mobile game Monopoly Go! and features sets, play zones and – for the first time ever – face-to-face sticker trading.

Restaurant critic and broadcaster Grace Dent has teamed up with viral bakery Bread Ahead to create the headline act – the ‘Double Down’ doughnut.

But in true Monopoly style, you’ll need to throw double sixes at a real-life Community Chest to unlock it. It’s worth the gamble though – the decadent mix of double chocolate, mango lassi and chilli jam is what Dent calls “one-of-a-kind.”

“I’ve been to plenty of food festivals, but Dough Fest is in a league of its own,” Dent says. “It’s where show-stopping food meets the thrill of friendly competition, and I can’t wait for everyone to try our one-of-a-kind doughnut creation with Bread Ahead. If you love doughnuts, Monopoly Go!, or just a brilliant day out exploring delicious food and flavours, this is the place to be.”

Alongside Dent’s creation, Bread Ahead will be serving other limited-edition treats including the Rose Jelly Jackpot – a Turkish delight-inspired doughnut – and a bacon-infused caramel cream.

Ice cream rebels Soft Serve Society are also bringing the chaos with eyebrow-raising flavours such as Cash Grab Ketchup & Mayo, Lime Pickle Payday, and Mega Heist Miso Corn.

And if you’re more pizza than pudding, Napoli on the Road – run by the world’s best pizza chef Michele Pascarella – has festival-exclusive toppings.

Since launch, players have swapped over 3 billion stickers in-app, and now they can trade in person, with doubled limits during the festival’s 48-hour Trade Fest. Expect high-stakes swaps, wild collections and plenty of “got, got, need!”

Every ticketholder will also receive a flavour passport, collecting stamps across the weekend to unlock freebies, in-game rewards, and exclusives.

Monopoly Go!’s Sophie Young said: “Dough Fest is a celebration of everything our Tycoons love – community, creativity, and connection – brought to life beyond the game for the very first time.

“We’ve designed it to be as playful, imaginative, and delicious as Monopoly Go! itself. Whether you’re here to trade your way to victory, sample one-of-a-kind dishes, or simply soak up the atmosphere, Dough Fest is where the game and the community come together.”

  • The event is at East London’s Truman Brewery on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September Tickets are free and available via this link The event runs from 12pm to 6pm on both days.
