After being struck by a projectile during Aston Villa’s chaotic Europa League clash at Villa Park, England’s Morgan Rogers appears to be swapping bruises for romance

Does love heal all wounds? One can only hope so. After an agitated match which saw England’s midfielder Morgan Rogers caught in the crossfire of Young Boys fans’ attack, taking a projectile to the abdomen, Morgan seems to be swapping bruises for butterflies.

As a result, new photographs on social media suggest the footballer has found solace in the arms of Love Island’s Leah Taylor. As Morgan has seemingly been keeping things under wraps, Leah has already dropped Instagram hints.

England’s rising football star appears to have enjoyed a string of dates with Leah. More recently, Morgan reportedly treated the 29-year-old reality TV star to a romantic escape in the Cotswolds.

Morgan has consequently shared snaps from their trip, including a cheeky shot of Morgan himself. A source close to the couple revealed: “It’s early days but they’re already getting close.

“They’ve been on a few dates and it’s going really well but it’s nothing serious yet. He wants to keep it under wraps, but Leah just couldn’t help herself.”

As per the Sun, the insider added: “She has already posted a pic of Morgan from behind on Instagram, she’s due a bit of luck in love after her nightmare on Love Island.” Leah reportedly posted a photo from their stay at Cowley Manor Hotel near Cheltenham, captioning it: “I like it here.”

Eagle-eyed fans spotted Morgan in his trademark Puma jacket, the same one he models for the brand. The romantic break comes as the 23-year-old athlete found himself in the thick of the action both on and off the pitch, having been struck in the abdomen by a projectile during Aston Villa’s heated Europa League clash with Young Boys.

The chaotic match, which took place at Villa Park, Birmingham, on Thursday (November 27) saw police intervention and left players dodging missiles from the stands.

Moreover, Aston Villa forward Donyell Malen was hit by a projectile allegedly thrown by a Young Boys fan during the two sides’ clash, the Daily Star previously reported.

During the match, Youri Tielemans set up a perfect pass for his teammate to score, but the celebration quickly turned tense when the player was pelted with objects thrown by fans at Villa Park. Donyell was subsequently struck on the skull by one of the hurled items, rapidly ducking as he retreated from the chaos.

Morgan was also caught in the abdomen by a projectile, immediately lifting his jersey to examine for potential injury.
