WARNING, OFFENSIVE CONTENT: Donald Trump’s latest rant on Truth Social saw him dub Mike Walz a ‘retard’, before making claims about Somalian pirates running wild in Minnesota

Donald Trump unleashed a typically unhinged rant directed towards Mike Walz, before doubling down on dubbing the Minnesota governor a “retard”.

The US president kicked off the offensive on Truth Social for his Thanksgiving speech, which reads like a clumsy script for a Marvel supervillain. In the rant on Sunday, Trump began by joyfully wishing “a very Happy Thanksgiving salutation to all of our Great American Citizens and Patriots…” but quickly changed up the tone.

“…who have been so nice in allowing our Country to be divided, disrupted, carved up, murdered, beaten, mugged, and laughed at, along with certain other foolish countries throughout the World, for being “Politically Correct,” and just plain STUPID, when it comes to Immigration,” the 79-year-old added.

Further down the post – which the Daily Star will forgo in its entirety to save readers time and energy – the leader of the Free World then called senior politician Tim Walz a “retard”.

Criticising Walz for being too lenient on immigration, Trump wrote: “The seriously retarded Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, does nothing, either through fear, incompetence.”

Before this, the MAGA man had “given an example” of the issues Walz’s policies on immigration were causing. “Hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia are completely taking over the once great State of Minnesota. Somalian gangs are roving the streets looking for “prey”…” wrote Trump.

Walz told NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday that he didn’t take the insults personally, but emphasised the dated term that Trump had used was “damaging” and “hurtful.”

Walz said: “Donald Trump insulting me is a badge of honor for me, but I think we all know, as both as an educator for a couple of decades and as a parent, using that term is just so damaging. It’s hurtful.

“This is what Donald Trump has done: he’s normalised this type of hateful behavior and this type of language. And mainly, look, at first, I think it’s just because he’s not a good human being. But secondly, to distract from his incompetence.”

When Trump was asked by reporters on Sunday about his offensive line of attack against the Democratic Walz, he simply doubled down.

“There’s something wrong with him, absolutely, sure,” Trump shot back at the press. “I think there’s something wrong with him. Anybody that would do what he did, anybody that would allow those people into a state and pay billions of dollars [to] Somalia, we give billions of dollars to Somalia.”

The White House even seemed to relish Trump’s comments, reposting his Truth Social post with a laughing emoji in an X post.
