ITV viewers have seen this year’s campmates adjust to life in the Australian jungle as I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Is in full swing.

Recent episodes of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! have witnessed ITV audiences saying goodbye to two celebrities following public votes.

Former England Lioness Alex Scott became the first contestant to depart the jungle last week, whilst comedian Eddie Kadi followed suit as the second elimination during Sunday’s programme.

Yet one personality who continues to enjoy public backing is Loose Women’s Kelly Brook, with her colleagues discussing the latest jungle drama on Monday’s show.

Panellist Ruth Langsford was updating viewers on recent camp developments, notably Ruby Wax’s appointment as the new camp leader, reports the Express.

As footage aired showing Kelly branding the comedian a ‘power mad person’ following her promotion, the Loose Women panel debated whether authority can corrupt.

During this discussion, Janet Street Porter revealed her surprising link to Ruby Wax, declaring: “I was once in charge of Ruby! I was her producer.”

The ITV presenter admitted it proved challenging before reflecting on her own leadership experiences, stating: “The power does go to your head.”

Ruby secured the camp leadership role through a campmate vote after EastEnders’ Shona McGarty was discovered with forbidden items, having added butter to her rice.

Upon taking charge, the 72-year-old fashioned herself a theatrical veil and paraded around camp whilst Lisa Riley, her deputy, carried the makeshift train.

However, Eddie Kadi has since shed light on Ruby’s behaviour in the camp, alleging she has a habit of nicking others’ stuff.

He revealed: “Vogue has lost all her socks and Ruby has taken them. She showed me, she’s like, ‘I got her socks. So what? I like it’. She took Vogue’s boots, I believe, at one stage.

“You could tell because of the way she was walking. I was like, ‘Ruby, clearly one of your boots is too long. She’s like, ‘Just keep walking. Your job is to just keep walking’.

“So I think it might be her because she’s got so much in her bags. She’s going to leave with everything.

“She’s leaving with the jungle. She doesn’t care….Ruby can do whatever she wants.”

Both Loose Women and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! are available for viewing on ITVX.
