A woman police officer has ‘no recollection’ of a boozy party where she’s alleged to have groped a male colleague and grabbed a female officer’s breasts, claiming to be ‘the biggest lesbian here’
A “twerking” female cop groped two colleagues and attempted to kiss an inspector during a leaving party, a misconduct hearing was told.
Drunk PC Pamela Pritchard, 29, allegedly grabbed a male officer’s genitals through his trousers and squeezed a female colleague’s breasts on a dancer floor at the 2024 boozy bash at Caernarfon Rugby Club in North Wales.
The mum-of-own is also said to have used “insulting and inappropriate language” towards two colleagues.
She broke down in tears as she told the hearing she’s “a good person” but had let down “the force, my friends, family, and my little girl”. She said: “I’m absolutely mortified at the allegations.”
PC Pritchard told the hearing that she had “no recollection” of her alleged antics. She stands accused of “humiliating” a male colleague by twice putting her hands on his groin, as well as groping a female officer’s breasts.
She allegedly told an officer during the party in March 2024: “I’m the biggest lesbian here and I’ll fight any man.” But she told the panel: “I’m straight.”
She denies breaching standards of professional behaviour and gross misconduct. She said: “My behaviour that evening was inappropriate. I’ve never acted like that before.
“The statements and the CCTV that I have seen and heard that’s not who I am… I am not that person – I don’t recognise myself on that CCTV. I would never mean to offend anyone. I am not that kind of person I am a good person.”
She added: “Please don’t think I’ve gone away and I haven’t thought about this from the moment I woke up to the moment I go to sleep.” She is also accused of trying to kiss a male inspector “causing him to pull away”.
A fellow officer, named only as PC B, said PC Pritchard groped him “out of the blue” when he was waiting to get a drink at the bar. “PC Pritchard grabbed me below the belt and put her hand on my genitals outside my clothing,” he said. “To no extent was it appropriate – I felt kind of humiliated at that point.”
He told the hearing that PC Pritchard repeated the action when he was outside in a smoking area. “She grabbed my genitals outside my clothes and I distinctly remember her squeezing them.” Later in the evening, he said, she sat on his knee, put her hand around his neck, and kissed him on the lips.
“It was not appropriate – this was in public. Her behaviour was becoming more and more unacceptable.”
But PC Pritchard told the hearing: “I deny totally that I’ve made contact with his groin on purpose.” Her barrister, Fiona Clancy, suggested PC B had been “teasing her and interfering in her love life” during the night out.
A disciplinary panel chaired by North Wales Assistant Chief Constable Chris Allsop were shown CCTV of PC Pritchard twerking during the night.
Another female police officer, identified as ‘Police Constable A’, said: “PC Pritchard came up from behind me, put both her arms around my neck, then put them under my armpits and grabbed my breasts and squeezed them.”
PC Pritchard denies the allegations and the hearing in Colwyn Bay police HQ continues.
