- I’m A Celebrity star Ruby was born in Illinoisis and is an American-British actress, comedian, writer, television presenter, and mental health campaigner. She co-starred in ’80s British comedy show Girls on Top. She trained in classical theatre and spent several years performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company in the UK. She was a script editor for the BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous.
