Jeremy Clarkson is set to host a spin-off of his hit ITV series Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

TV star Jeremy Clarkson is gearing up to host a new show dubbed Millionaire Hot Seat.

The former Top Gear and Grand Tour presenter is already known for his role on ITV’s Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and his new show is a spin-off of the popular series.

Billed as a “thrilling fast-paced twist” on the popular quiz show, ITV’s Hot Seat promises to deliver “a new fix of high-stakes excitement”.

But be warned, as this game is described as “ruthless”, with contestants needing to show off their “quick thinking, tactical play, and nerves of steel” in order to come out on top.

Unlike the original format, where one contestant takes the stage at a time, this fresh take will see six hopefuls go head-to-head. They’ll be racing against the clock, vying for life-changing cash prizes.

In Millionaire Hot Seat, every tick of the clock matters as players take turns in the hot seat, facing off against Jeremy and climbing the Million Pound Money Ladder one question at a time. Get a question right, and they stay in the game, reports the Mirror.

But if they fluff it, they’re out, and the top prize takes a tumble.

Contestants can opt to pass and keep their skin in the game, but that means heading to the back of the queue and risking not getting another shot.

Jeremy, who also stars in Clarkson’s Farm, has been at the helm of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? since 2018.

He stepped in when the series was revived four years after its previous host, Chris Tarrant, retired following several successful series.

Earlier this year, it was announced that he would also take the reins of Millionaire Hot Seat.

The new show is coming hot on the heels of successful renditions that have been broadcast in other countries, such as Italy and Australia.

The Aussie version has been a massive hit with viewers, first hitting screens in 2009 and running for multiple seasons since.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? airs on ITV in the UK and Millionaire Hot Seat is also set to air on the channel.
