Tottenham Hotspur are still looking to do business on transfer deadline day with Johan Lange having a number of deals to complete before the 7pm cut-off point

It’s been a rollercoaster of a summer window for Tottenham Hotspur, filled with both triumphs and tribulations, as they look to get some major deals done on transfer deadline day.

As we approach the final hours of the window, Spurs have already made Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel’s loan deals permanent, welcomed Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split, borrowed Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich, and secured Kota Takai, Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons on full-time contracts.

However, the club’s technical director Johan Lange still has his work cut out for him before the window shuts at 7pm tonight. While new arrivals are crucial to bolster Thomas Frank’s squad, departures are also necessary as part of a team refresh for the 2025/26 season to compete in both the Premier League and Champions League.

So, what last-minute deals could Tottenham be eyeing? Here’s their shortlist, reports Football London.

New winger

Spurs are yet to find a replacement for Son Heung-min on the wing, a gap that needs filling before the deadline. Manchester City’s Savinho was strongly linked with a move to North London, but it seems he’ll be staying put at the Etihad Stadium.

The Manchester Evening News reported last Thursday that City have no plans to sell the Brazilian. Ademola Lookman of Atalanta has been touted as a potential late addition to the Spurs squad, as he seeks to leave the Italian club before tonight’s deadline.

Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested in the 27 year old, with whispers of a potential loan deal. Spurs will need to outmanoeuvre their German rivals if they’re to secure the signature of the ex-Premier League winger.

Randal Kolo Muani has also been linked with a last-minute switch to Tottenham, offering Frank additional options on both wings and up front.

New Centre-Back

Tottenham are also in the market for a new centre-back before the 7pm deadline, although securing a new winger is currently higher on the priority list. Nonetheless, strengthening the centre-back position remains a necessity for Spurs.

Frank is seeking additional cover at centre-back due to the number of matches Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven missed last season. With Radu Dragusin still receiving treatment ahead of his imminent return to training, and Vuskovic’s loan move to Hamburg further depleting Tottenham’s options, a new centre-back is crucial.

Manchester City’s Manuel Akanji has been linked with a move to Tottenham in recent days.

Dane Scarlett

Dane Scarlett is hoping to secure a loan move away from the club in the final hours of the transfer window. The striker was omitted from Tottenham’s pre-season tour squad to facilitate a loan deal, but a move hasn’t materialised yet.

Regular playing time is essential for him, and the hope is that the academy graduate can secure a move elsewhere before the clock runs out.

Bryan Gil

Bryan Gil’s future at Tottenham Hotspur looks uncertain as he has been left without a squad number for the upcoming season. The Spanish player is currently recovering from a knee injury, which could potentially affect any potential transfer, given it’s unclear when he’ll be fit to return to action.

Given his contract situation, Spurs can ill afford to let this situation drag on.

Yves Bissouma

Yves Bissouma is likely to make headlines on transfer deadline day. The Mali international has slipped down the pecking order in Tottenham’s midfield this summer following the arrival of Palhinha, which could lead to a last-minute departure.

Like Gil, Bissouma’s current contract runs out next summer, and the club needs to offload him in this transfer window to prevent his value from plummeting. Last week, Tottenham were reportedly in talks with Galatasaray over a loan deal, but for now, Bissouma remains a Spurs player.

Manor Solomon

Manor Solomon made his first appearance in Frank’s Tottenham squad last weekend after an injury-plagued summer. The winger provided the head coach with an additional attacking option, but he remained on the bench despite Spurs needing a goal against Bournemouth.

The 26 year old may struggle to secure regular playing time at Tottenham, which could lead to a late exit on Monday. Solomon’s position in the squad will only become more precarious if a new winger is brought in.
