Singer Joss Stone says she forgives two men who plotted to decapitate her with a samurai sword – as we can reveal they were released from prison early. The soul singer, 38, has recently revealed she is preparing to return to the UK more than a decade after fleeing to America in light of the terrifying plot.

She called the ordeal “traumatic” and said the “idea that somebody would want to chop you up into small pieces” was somewhat “jarring”.

But Joss hopes the two jailed men, Kevin Liverpool and Junior Bradshaw, are “okay and healed”.

Mum-of-four Joss said that “it’s hard to not feel sorry for people that are in that space” and that she would like to ask why they planned to kill her.

“I hope they didn’t try and do that because they didn’t like a song or something,” she said.

Joss added: “I’m just like, ‘Can we just have a cup of tea? Can we just talk about it?’”

Liverpool and Bradshaw, 35 and 32 at the time of their convictions in 2013, had travelled to Joss’ home in Devon in 2011 armed with weapons and notes detailing plans to behead the songstress.

Their car was found to contain knives, hammers and even a samurai sword.

They planned to rob and kill Joss, who was home at the time, branding her a ‘she-devil’ because of her links to the Royal Family.

They were caught after a police officer searched their car following reports from suspicious residents.

The pair had crashed on the way down to Devon, and drove around asking for directions after getting lost, even waving a picture of the singer as they did so.

Liverpool was slapped with a life sentence with a minimum of 10 years and eight months, later reduced by the Court of Appeal to six and a half years.

Bradshaw was jailed for 18 years before the sentence was cut to 10 years.

And authorities confirmed this week that both men were freed from jail significantly earlier than originally expected.

Liverpool was released in 2019 while Bradshaw was let out in 2016.
