Ticketmaster faces a lawsuit over concert ticket resale tactics in the US – which may fuel action in the UK.
The Federal Trade Commission and seven states have sued the entertainment giant and its owner Live Nation, accusing it of ripping off fans.
Regulators say it has co-ordinated with brokers to buy tickets and sell them at a ‘substantial’ mark-up, violating consumer protection law.

Dan Coatsworth, analyst at AJ Bell, said: ‘It is impossible to believe the UK would let the dominant promoter and ticket provider get away with dodgy practices if they’ve been outlawed in the US.’
