Paige Kelly, 27, was last seen leaving her home in Leigh, Greater Manchester, on Tuesday, September 23, and has not been seen or heard from since

The family of a woman from Leigh are growing increasingly worried about her safety as she has been missing for nearly a week. Paige Kelly, 27, was last definitively seen last Tuesday (September 23) departing from her home in Leigh.

Her relatives report two additional unconfirmed sightings of her the next day: entering a taxi in Leigh in the early hours of Wednesday morning, and on St Helen’s Road in the town around 8:30am.

Paige was dressed in a grey knitted dress and a scarf, but had no bag, coat or cash, reports the Manchester Evening News. She resides in Leigh but has connections to Warrington.

She has not been seen or heard from since sending a message early on Wednesday morning, and it seems she hasn’t turned her phone back on.

Her aunt Kate expressed: “It is so unlike her to go missing for so long. She has a five-year-old son. It is completely out of character. We are terrified that something might have happened to her but hope circulating her picture could jog someone’s memory.”

And writing on Facebook, she said: “As advised by the police, I’ll be printing posters off tomorrow & getting family & friends to help put them around. They won’t actively go out & search for her & will only respond to information we send them.

“Their only response was they sent a message to her phone with a link she can click on. She’s in a vulnerable state of mind & her phone isn’t on!”

More than 13,000 people have shared the post on social media.

The family have been diligently visiting pubs and shops in Leigh, St Helens and Warrington to distribute flyers. They intend to do the same at local homeless shelters.

They also confirmed that Paige has not been admitted to any local hospitals.

Greater Manchester Police are believed to be investigating. They have been approached for comment.
