Married At First Sight UK star Sarah has broken her silence after her ‘disrespectful’ behaviour was called out by expert Paul C Brunson in an explosive commitment ceremony.

A Married At First Sight UK contestant has spoken out following a fiery commitment ceremony where expert Paul C Brunson slammed “disrespectful” behaviour.

The wildly popular E4 reality show made its much-awaited return for series ten last month, with viewers already witnessing plenty of drama and emotional breakdowns as fresh singletons tied the knot with total strangers.

Whilst some participants are sailing through the experience with their brand new romances blossoming after immediate chemistry, others are encountering significant obstacles as they grapple with the social experiment.

Recruitment consultant Sarah and team building facilitator Dean were the first couple paired up this series. Though they seemed like an ideal pairing on paper, Sarah has been battling due to the absence of any “spark”.

The journey has proved rocky for the duo, with Sarah remaining unimpressed throughout their honeymoon, even admitting she’d prefer if he would “get some tattoos and lose some weight”, reports OK!.

Her conduct during this week’s inaugural dinner party was swiftly challenged by expert Paul C Brunson during the opening commitment ceremony.

Sarah has also faced a barrage of criticism from viewers across social media platforms, who have condemned her remarks, but she has now broken her silence regarding the commitment ceremony.

Taking to Instagram, Sarah penned: “The last couple of episodes have been really tough, and watching last night’s Commitment Ceremony was not easy. I know there’s been a lot of criticism, and while it’s hard to hear, I truly accept the feedback from Paul, Charlene and Mel.

“I am determined to take this as an opportunity to learn and do better.

“At the end of the day, I’m only human. I’m not perfect. But I am listening, I am learning, and I’m moving forward with that in mind.”

Earlier today, Dean also shared his thoughts on social media, writing: “That was an intense couple of episodes. Thank you all for your kind words and support! Remember to always be kind and never stop smiling.”

Sarah’s previous remarks during the dinner party caused a stir when she confessed she had the “ick” and likened her husband to a “care bear”.

And on Tuesday, 30 September, expert Paul remarked: “I get the challenge around physical attraction, but where you absolutely lost me is when you went around gossiping about your husband to other people, and you were laughing at it.”

He later added: “One iota of disrespect is too much.”

A tearful Sarah was then seen walking away, confessing to the camera: “It was really hard to hear what Paul had to say and I apologised and I’m sorry. It’s not me, it’s not who I am.”

Dean, who admitted he was taken aback by the comments, said he was ready to work on their relationship as both decided to stick together on the show.

MAFS UK returns tonight at 9pm on E4.
