Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey took to the dancefloor with pro partner Karen Hauer for Movie Week on Strictly Come Dancing, and left the judges flustered

A Strictly Come Dancing celebrity apologised for his “nudity” during a performance that left judges Shirley Ballas blushing and Craig Revel Horwood admitting he was a tad distracted.

Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey hit the dance floor with pro partner Karen Hauer for Movie Week, causing quite a stir.

Last weekend saw the first celeb booted off, with Apprentice’s Thomas Skinner and his pro partner Amy Dowden eliminated.

In other news, it was revealed that Neighbours star Stefan Dennis and his partner Dianne Buswell would be sitting out this week due to illness.

Tonight, celebs including George Clarke, Vicky Pattison, Amber Davies, La Voix and Ross King performed to tunes from K-Pop Demon Hunters’ Soda Pop and James Bond’s No Time To Die.

For the first time in Strictly history, Wicked actress Cynthia Erivo stepped in as a guest mentor, following her stint as a guest judge in 2021, reports MyLondon.

Harry took on a Salsa to I Always Wanted a Brother from Mufasa: The Lion King, flaunting his physique without a shirt, and leaving the judges flustered.

“That is a strong look Harry,” Tess Daly praised, with Harry replying: “I apologise to everyone for the nudity.”

As the judges began their comments, Craig confessed: “I almost forgot to look at the footwork, I can’t for the life of me think why.”

Shirley then added: “You are the man with a million dollar smile, for sure.”

“You picked Karen up like she was a piece of ribbon or something, it was extraordinary, it was fantastic,” she went on.

Shirley then praised Harry’s “pecks shaking,” adding: “You decided not to wear the shirt.”

“I mean to say, you’re going from strength to strength, you are quite extraordinary in every department. I’m blushing!”

Harry, who won the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special last year, has so far impressed the judges with his skills, earning a 19 to his Cha Cha in the first week and 26 to his Quickstep in the second.

This week, he and Karen came in third place with 32 points, following Lewis Cope and Katya Jones in first place with 37, and Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin with 35.

Harry had previously shared: “After the Christmas Special, it was so nice I just had to do it twice! I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly family this series and I’m ready to give it all I’ve got.

“I’ll be bringing tons of energy to light up the dance floor. Let’s hope I’m as quick picking up the routines as I am on the track.”

Strictly Come Dancing is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
