Seth Rollins and Stephanie Vaquer were crowned the new Crown Jewel champions at WWE’s annual premium live event (PLE) on Saturday.

Unlike the previous six editions which were held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the 2025 edition took place in Perth, Australia which meant a homecoming for Rhea Ripley and Bronson Reed and they both secured big wins.

That said, both Crown Jewel championships matches were the main focus and Vaquer, the new Raw’s women’s world champion, became the first woman to beat SmackDown’s WWE women’s champion, Tiffany Stratton this year by securing a pinfall victory.

Meanwhile, on the men’s side, Rollins earned a first career win – at the fourth attempt – over Cody Rhodes.

A bout described as ‘must-win’ for Raw’s world heavyweight champion, Rollins – without the help of his ‘Vision’ stablemates – got the job done thanks to a pair of stomps after hitting Rhodes with a watch gifted to him by the undisputed WWE champion after taking down Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

In perhaps the most anticipated bout on the card, John Cena continued his retirement tour against long-time rival AJ Styles.

The final ever match between the two rivals, but a classic nevertehless as both men paid tribute to wrestlers past and present before Cena got the win after hitting a tombstone piledriver and an Attitude Adjustment.

Elsewhere, Rhea Ripley had the honour of performing in her home country, on her birthday nonetheless, as she successfully teamed with IYO SKY to knock back the challenge of Asuka and Kairi Sane, aka The Kabuki Warriors.
