EXCLUSIVE: Strictly legend James Jordan predicts Lewis Cope will win 2025, praising his looks, talent, and strong partnership with Katya Jones as a recipe for success

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan has tipped his favourite to win the 2025 series of the hit BBC show. Speaking exclusively to Daily Star in collaboration with Freebets.com, the home of the best betting sites, James praised Lewis Cope for his combination of talent, charisma, and stage presence, predicting a strong run for him.

“I thought Lewis was fantastic, Lewis will be in the final,” James told us. “I know this sounds really cliché, but it really depends on everyone else’s journey around him, right? Yeah, like he’s going to be great pretty much every week. That’s clear.”

The former Strictly pro didn’t hold back on what he thinks will make Lewis stand out from the rest of the competitors. “He’s young and he’s good looking. Women are going to want to vote for him. He’s a great dancer. He’s got a great body. He’s got a great partner in Katya [Jones],” James said.

James, who danced professionally on the show for years and became a fan favourite for his choreography and stage presence, said everything currently points to Lewis having a very successful series. “Everything is positive for him,” he added.

But James also acknowledged the unpredictability of the competition. “But if someone slips through the radar and has a massive journey and gets to the final, we’ve seen it time and time again, where not necessarily the best dancer always wins,” he said.

Still, for now, the Dancing on Ice alum is backing Lewis as his standout contestant. “At the moment, I would say he’s probably my favourite to win,” James confirmed.

Lewis has been impressing the judges and audiences alike with his confidence and poise on the dance floor, has become a favourite among fans in the early weeks of the series. His partnership with Katya has drawn particular praise, with James pointing out the chemistry and skill he sees between them.

As the competition heats up, all eyes will be on Lewis and the other celebrities as they battle it out week by week for the Glitterball Trophy.
