Coronation Street has released a new explosive first look at Eva Price’s return
Coronation Street is set for explosive scenes as a dramatic first look sees Eva Price’s return.
Eva, played by Catherine Tyldesley, makes her long awaited return to Weatherfield on October 27 with her new family.
In the first look, it sees Eva and her partner Ben Driscoll, played by Aaron McCusker, as the first to arrive on the street where he surprises her by revealing he has bought the Rovers Return, declaring she is the new landlady.
It’s not long until Eva, who left seven years ago in 2018, gets settled into the pub as she is welcomed by old friends, family and pub regulars in one huge party.
However, the arrival of Ben’s meddling mum Maggie, played by Pauline McLynn, brings some shocking news for Eva…
Coronation Street has teased: “She will be reunited with her sisters Leanne and Toyah, as well as catching up with her old friends and neighbours.
“But what has she been up to since she left Weatherfield and how will this new clan fit into the drama on the Street?”, adding: “It is safe to say the Price/Driscoll family will be arriving with a bang and a suitcase full of secrets…”
The hit ITV soap has also revealed Ollie’s real identity. Soap watchers will recall that Ollie has been dating Dee-Dee Bailey for a few months but he failed to mention his family would be moving to the cobbles as he is Eva’s stepson.
Ollie is the son of newcomer Ben, who is Eva’s new partner, and Ben also has another son Will. Also joining the new family is Eva’s daughter Susie, played by Aurora Bradshaw.
Talking about her return and what’s coming up next, Eva star Catherine, 42, exclusively told us: “In terms of my return, I feel like Coronation Street is really meeting my expectations and then some.
“The original meeting that I had with our brilliant producer, Kate [Brooks], she was telling me about all these things that are going to happen, and I had absolute faith.
“I was like, ‘I hope it does, I hope it does,’ and they are. It’s all becoming reality, and I really trust the writing team here.
“They know I love the drama, they know I love the comedy, and they’ve always written so well for Eva.
“So I’m excited to see what is coming next. There’s lots of drama ahead, but I also love the fact that they keep her quite comical as well.”
Coronation Street continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and ITV X.
