A first home league loss to Manchester United in 10 years has extended the Reds’ losing streak to four games across all competitions, with head coach Arne Slot fighting to keep the season track after a summer of unprecedented spending.

A defeat at Galatasaray is part of Liverpool’s miserable run, having scraped a win over Atletico Madrid in matchday one, and Slot will know more dropped points could prove very costly at this early stage of the season.

Frankfurt, though, are in a similar boat, having fallen away after their own impressive start to the season with three defeats and one draw in their last five games.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

The match will take place at Deutsche Bank Park.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool team news

Frankfurt will likely keep faith with centre-back pairing Robin Koch and Arthur Theate, despite less-than-warm notices for their performances this season. Teenager Can Uzun should start after scoring six goals in the opening weeks of the campaign.

For Liverpool, Hugo Ekitike will hope to face his former side after losing his starting spot to Alexander Isak. There is also likely to be changes in midfield and defence, with Ryan Gravenberch a fitness doubt and Alexis Mac Allister struggling to impress.
