Senior royals were spotted at the iconic Royal Albert Hall ahead of the Festival of Remembrance tonight, including King Charles and the Princess of Wales

High ranking royals arrived at the Royal Albert Hall for the emotive Festival of Remembrance tonight, including King Charles, The Princess of Wales and Prince George.

She was pictured with her eldest son for the event in London, dazzling in a dress by Alessandra Rich and an HMS Glasgow Brooch.

Princess Kate, 43, was also spotted with earrings belonging to the late Queen, with her poppy made by Izzy Ager of Lock & Co. who has recently graduated from The Royal School of Needlework.

The mother and son were joined by King Charles, 76, and Queen Camilla, 78, at the event which honoured those part of the military services.

Other senior royals were also spotted, including Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, and Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and his wife Victoria were also spotted arriving at the annual event, which takes place on the Saturday evening of Remembrance weekend.

It honours the British and Commonwealth armed forces community, and has musical performances and personal experiences shared to those attending, as per The Sun.

This year, the festival marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, and 25 years since the UK Government since gay, lesbian and bisexual service members were permitted to openly serve in Britain’s armed forces. It will also focus on military children who have faced bereavement.

At the end of the event, which will be covered by BBC One at 9pm this evening and hosted by award winning actress and singer Hannah Waddingham , a two minute silence will then be held as poppy petals fall from the ceiling.

There will also be performances from the likes of Sir Rod Stewart, Blessing Offor, Sam Ryder, Keala Settle and The Wellermen.

Last year, the festival marked Princess Kate’s first major royal event since finishing chemotherapy.

She will also attend the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire next Tuesday to mark Armistice Day for a service of remembrance, and to mark the anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended the First World War.
