The Celebrity Traitors star Cat Burns is sneaking through the series totally unscathed and many fans may not know that the chart-topping singer’s moniker is a stage name…

Celebrity Traitors star Cat Burns goes by a different name.

The singer has been active since 2016 but first gained attention after her 2020 single Go went viral on TikTok two years later. Her tune eventually reached the number two spot on the UK singles chart and has been nominated for a Brit Award three times.

Some Traitors fans may not know that Cat Burns is her stage name, a shortening of her real moniker Catrina Burns-Temison.

Burns has ADHD, which she’s previously said helps her songwriting process “become a lot quicker,” and was diagnosed as autistic in 2023. She identifies as a lesbian and spoke about her coming out experience in her song Free.

The Traitors contestant has been described as a silent assassin by many viewers as she’s impressively managed to get through the series mostly undetected by the Faithfuls. Claudia chose her as one of the three original Traitors during the show’s first episode and Cat quickly won over audiences with her cool, calm and collected demeanour.

As the series draws to a close, many viewers think Cat has what it takes to win the first Celebrity Traitors spin-off series and take home the prize money for her chosen charity.

Many have taken to X/Twitter in recent weeks to share their support for the BBC star as one person wrote: “I need Cat and Alan to win, I love them so much,” while another said: “You don’t understand, I need Cat Burns to win.”

Someone else tweeted: “Cat is an incredibly strong Traitor – she’s got exactly the right balance of leaving little crumbs to get rid of another Traitor but doing it so lightly that it won’t backfire on her.”

Another tweet theorised: “It’s fascinating how David gets called out for having been too quiet but when it’s Cat, they’re like: ‘Oh you young thing, it’s fine, don’t worry.” I think they grossly underestimated her and that’s why she’s winning this.”
