Charlie Kirk’s wife Erika and the family are struggling to come to terms with his death, according to a political influencer
Charlie Kirk’s family are grappling with the heartbreaking task of explaining to their children that “daddy isn’t coming home” following his tragic death, as per a political influencer.
Jack Posobiec, a contentious figure associated with Kirk’s Turning Point USA organisation, revealed today the struggles faced by Kirk’s family in the aftermath of his assassination. Kirk was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University, a horrific incident witnessed by thousands of attendees.
Mr Posobiec shared: “Erika is unbelievably strong. At the same time someone’s going to have to explain to his son and daughter why their dad didn’t come home yesterday.” The news comes as Charlie Kirk ‘told he’d be killed at university’ before assassination expert says.
In conversation with NewsNation, he added: “Erika is a prayer warrior, her and Charlie are very devout believers, they are very very deeply Christian. When you see the cameras turn off, the lights go down, they immediately go back to faith – this is something they live 24/7.
“It is not something that only exists in front of the camera, that is something that they absolutely walk every single day. Because they have that firm reliance in faith, Erika has that ability to be able to go through this with that kind of strength that really only comes from heaven.”, reports the Mirror.
Erika recently unveiled a ministry programme titled BIBLEin365, which, according to its website, “seeks to help individuals engage with scriptures.”
Her biography states: “Above all, Erika cherishes her role as the wife of Charlie Kirk and the mother of their precious son and daughter.
“As she continues to grow in her ministry, leadership, and entrepreneurial endeavours, Erika remains committed to inspiring others to live with purpose, rooted in faith, and driven by the love of Christ in every aspect of life.”
Beau Mason, the commissioner of the Utah Department of Public Safety, said she and the family were “devastated.”
The pair have two youngsters and marked their fourth wedding anniversary in May.
The young family was left reeling from tragedy yesterday following Kirk’s murder. The conservative influencer was shot fatally in the neck and succumbed to his wounds moments later.
A massive manhunt is now underway to track down a person of interest sought by the FBI. An enormous reward of up to $100,000 (£73,000) is being offered to anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest.
