Jamica Mills, 32, is accused of shooting dead her friend Ariel Spillner, 26, after the pair smoked weed together and she became paranoid that she was going to stab her

A woman accused of shooting her own friend after becoming paranoid from smoking weed said she “felt food” during a Facebook livestream hours before the gun horror. Jamica Mills, 32, told viewers she was “clean from all that stuff” and “felt good for real.”

Religious music by gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard could be heard being blasted during the 11-minute video, which was posted before she is said to have killed pharmacy student Ariel Spillner, 26, on November 4.

Mills claims she accidentally shot Ariel after becoming paranoid that her friend would stab her while they smoked marijuana together, according to a criminal complaint. It also stated Mills told investigators she shot herself in the stomach.

She told police that Ariel was supposed to cut her dog’s hair with scissors, but she became paranoid that her friend would use them to attack her, so she retrieved a gun from her bedroom, the complaint states.

When she returned, Mills said that Ariel made a ‘hand motion’ that panicked her and led her to shoot her at around 9.40pm, police said. Mills was found inside her home conscious but on the floor with a gunshot wound, and Ariel was pronounced dead at the scene.

A semi-automatic piston and casings were also found in the home. Mills allegedly became combative as she was transferred to the hospital and initially told cops she could not remember what happened between waking up in her living room and arriving at hospital.

But she later changed her story and admitted both women were paranoid after smoking weed together, which is illegal for recreational purposes in Milwaukee, US.

Mills is facing charges of first-degree reckless homicide, and remains in custody with a $150,000 bond. She is next due in court on November 17, the Daily Mail reports.

Tributes poured in for Ariel, who was described by her family as an ambitious and kind-hearted student “with the most infectious laugh.”

In a GoFundMe set up to pay for funeral expenses, they said she was “a light to everyone who knew her – she had the most giving soul with the biggest heart”

Her sister Courtney told local media: “She was literally the best person you could ask for as a friend, as a sister, as a daughter. She was the best to everyone. She would be there for anyone, no matter what you needed, when you needed it.”
