A date has been confirmed for Arsenal and Crystal Palace’s Carabao Cup quarter-final.

Palace had pushed for the game to be moved from the draft date of Tuesday, December 16, 2025, as they are due to face KuPS in their final league phase game in the Conference League two days later.

Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta said last week there were “much better options” than that date, whole Palace counterpart Oliver Glasner said it would be “irresponsible” to allow the game to go ahead on December 16.

“It’s dangerous, irresponsible to say that you should play Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday,” he said last Friday.

Arsenal were open to discussions and now the fixture has been moved into the following week and set for a 7.45pm kick-off on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

A statement from Crystal Palace read: “The other quarter-finals are set to take place in the week prior, with Palace’s trip to Arsenal instead set for 23rd December to account for the Eagles’ participation in the UEFA Conference League.”

The confirmed date comes two days after Arsenal’s Premier League away trip at Everton and Crystal Palace’s game at Leeds. Both games will kick off at 2pm on Sunday, December 21.

Carabao Cup quarter-final schedule in full

Cardiff City v Chelsea (8pm)

Manchester City v Brentford (7.30pm)
