England are 80 minutes away from ending an 11-year wait for a Women’s Rugby World Cup title, and only Canada stand in their way.

It is a rematch of the 2014 final, staged in Paris, which England won 21-9. That was Canada’s only appearance in a World Cup final, and they will aim to go one step further this weekend.

The Red Roses came into this tournament as favourites and have more than lived up to their billing, cruising to the final with minimal complaint.

Having been beaten finalists in the last two World Cups, they will hope to finally get over the line in front of a sold-out stadium.

Canada produced a statement win in their semi-final win over New Zealand. They stunned the Black Ferns 34-19, dashing their hopes of a third straight world title.

Date, kick-off time and venue

England vs Canada is scheduled for a 4pm BST kick-off on Saturday, September 26, 2025.

The match will take place at Twickenham Stadium.

The final will be preceded by the third-place game between New Zealand and France, which will also be held at Twickenham Stadium. Kick-off is at 12.30pm.
