Nottingham Forest could already be looking for their third manager of the season as Evangelos Marinakis is ‘considering’ parting ways with Ange Postecoglou

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is already looking at sacking Ange Postecoglou after one month, according to reports.

Forest have been dragged into a relegation battle as they continue to search for their first win under Postecoglou – who was brought in to replace Nuno Espirito Santo earlier this season.

According to The Telegraph, Marinakis wants Sean Dyche to step into the dugout if he decides to cut his losses on Postecoglou. Dyche, who lives in Nottingham, has made something of a habit of keeping clubs in the Premier League.

Forest are currently 17th in the Premier League, across the international break, and face tricky clashes with Chelsea and Bournemouth sandwiching a Europa League clash once domestic football returns.

Dyche is currently out of work – after he left Everton back in January to be replaced by club icon David Moyes.

Marinakis is understood to have considered Fulham boss Marco Silva and his former manager Steve Cooper, who now works for Danish Superliga outfit Brondby.

“Listen, he’s a dead man walking, as they say,” Roy Keane said on the Overlap when speaking about Postecoglou. “We sit here and comment on clubs and you’re always looking at the next game.

“Who have they got next? Chelsea? Just say Chelsea go and win 2-0, we’ll all be thinking he’ll be gone.

“Owners then have had two weeks to sit during the international break, if they don’t do it before then. We are talking about whether managers have got two or three months, no, they’ve got two or three games, that’s it.

“If you go: ‘Ange, you know if you don’t get a good start you could be gone after two months?’ He would say he knows that.

“I think they (managers) know that. You shake hands with the devil. I’m not saying it’s right, it’s absolutely wrong.”
