Lando Norris remains in the 2025 Formula 1 title fight after a controversial Italian Grand Prix for McLaren.

Oscar Piastri was left confused by McLaren’s decision to order him to let Norris past with just four laps to go at the ‘Temple of Speed’, with Norris having earlier fallen behind his team-mate and championship rival into third following a slow pit stop.

It means the gap between the duo now stands at 31 points with eight races left to go this season, starting on the streets of Baku later in September, with Norris clawing back three after the damage of his retirement at the Dutch Grand Prix that was compounded by Piastri’s win and saw him fall from nine to 34 adrift.

Here are the latest drivers’ and constructors’ championship standings for the 2025 Formula One season, with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix up next.
