The Celebrity Traitors have been causing chaos on the BBC series

The first Celebrity Traitor to be exposed might already be ‘locked in’ thanks to a clue on the smash-hit BBC programme.

The Celebrity Traitors kicked off earlier this month with Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns and Alan Carr chosen as Traitors, with the trio managing to fly under the radar thus far.

Up to now, Ruth Codd, Tom Daley, Charlotte Church and Paloma Faith have been ‘murdered’ from the show, whilst Niko Omilana, Tameka Empson and Clare Balding were booted out after being wrongly suspected of being Traitors, when they were actually Faithfuls throughout.

Whilst the Celebrity Traitors remain undetected so far, one ex- The Traitors contestant has figured out who’ll be rumbled first.

Former player Paul Gorton, who was picked as a Traitor in series two but was unfortunately eliminated before the finale, has revealed all in an exclusive interview on behalf of WhichBingo, reports Wales Online.

Paul revealed to us: “I did this big theory about where you stand in the turret is often an insight to how quickly you’re going to get found.

“If you stand on the left hand side, it’s normally the most powerful position inside of the turret. And I think it’s because it dates back to a theory called the prospect and refuge theory.

“It often goes to the most powerful position you can stand in a room is often when you’ve got a wall behind you and the door within your vision.

“And normally, that gives you the highest feeling of confidence in a room. And that’s where Jonathan stood. That’s where I stood. That’s where Charlotte from season three stood, who was kind of the panto villain from there.

“But on the right hand side, you can still see your team, but you can’t see the door. I think subconsciously that makes you go more under the radar, play it quietly, play that survival game.

“Who was stood on the right hand side? Minah Shannon, Cat Burns, Harry Clark, the only Traitor who has ever won it was stood there.

“Now, sadly for Alan, the most betrayed Traitor is normally the one that stands in the middle. Alan can’t see the door and he also can’t see his teammates. So if he’s looking at one, he can’t see the other one pulling a face behind him and vice versa.

“So I think subconsciously that makes people go about the game in different ways. I did a lot of research into this. And in season two, I think there was five or six people that were in the middle position that were all betrayed or banished or both.

“So I would say off the back of that theory, that it’s Alan [the most likely to be unmasked first], but it could just all be a coincidence.”

Paul added: “I think there’s been so many episodes of it now, like the patterns are occurring. And if you do go back and have a look, it is quite remarkable.”

The Celebrity Traitors continues on Wednesday and Thursday night at 9pm on BBC one and BBC iPlayer.
