Aventure is the the main selection of the Daily Star Chief Tipster in Sunday’s Arc but he has also singled out an overpriced 33-1 shot who could reward each-way backers

AVENTURE (3.05) is tipped to repel a strong international challenge and win the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe on home soil on Sunday.

The filly was the only horse to give Bluestocking a race 12 months ago when she chased home Ralph Beckett’s star.

Twelve months on, Aventure looks stronger and better and if she can improve a bit on last year that should be good enough to take Europe’s prestigious middle distance crown.

Her preparation has gone perfectly with a cosy victory in the Prix Vermeille four weeks ago putting her spot on for the Longchamp challenge.

She beat French Oaks heroine Gezora that day and should confirm the form.

It looks certain that there will be some give in the ground and that will also suit Aventure.

An easy surface would be a slight worry for favourite Minnie Hauk who has had a peerless three-year-old campaign, which has included victories in the English and Irish Oaks.

She has a nice draw and Christophe Soumillon in the plate but she has been on the go since the spring and this race could come a year too soon.

Soft ground would be an unknown for big Japan hope Byzantine Dream and would not suit Marco Botti’s Giavellotto.

Last year’s third Los Angeles looks a cracking each-way bet at 33-1 and is massively overpriced.

Elsewhere on a card with six Group One races, Karl Burke’s AYLIN (12.40) can snare the Prix Marcel Boussac while SAJJIR (4.25) stands out in the Prix de la Foret.
