Mica Ven and Marcus Luther, former favourites on the Gogglebox sofa, have taken on a new role that fans can still follow.

The couple won over viewers during their four-year run on the Channel 4 programme before departing in 2022.

While they primarily appeared as a duo, Mica’s daughters Sachelle and Shuggy occasionally joined them. Marcus also has a son, Shiloh Defreitas, and together they share a teenage son, Yash.

However, Mica and Marcus disclosed that they eventually had to remove Sachelle and Shuggy from the show due to constant bickering. “We had the girls on,” Marcus explained: “All they did was fight each other […] They literally argued and fought each other so we kicked them off the sofa.”

This change did, however, provide the pair with more opportunities for quality time together, reports the Mirror.

“It was something nice that I can do with her where I could spend time with her and somebody was going to pay me to spend time with her – I thought yeah, no brainer. Loved it,” Marcus chuckled.

Mica retorted: “You wouldn’t do it voluntarily, Markey? You wouldn’t just sit down with me voluntarily?” To which he jested: “They’re gonna have to pay me to talk to you.”

Now Marcus and Mica are transforming into agony aunt and uncle for their fresh YouTube series The Labrish Show. The weekly programme features the duo tackling viewers’ romantic predicaments after discovering that in everyday life, Mica was assisting numerous people as a hairdresser with counselling credentials.

“Offline, I help a lot of people with their relationship dilemmas because what a lot of people don’t know is I come from a counselling background,” she revealed.

“For some of the less sensitive dilemmas, I’m like, ‘Let’s get a male perspective on it.’ That’s how the show premise came. From the Gogglebox sofa to the Labrish sofa. Gogglebox meets couple’s therapy with a drink in hand.”

Marcus chimed in: “I’m the one that gives out all the good advice. I’m the reason why people are in such great relationships now.”

Whilst it’s challenging to be stunned after witnessing all manner of things on Gogglebox, Mica and Marcus disclosed that they receive numerous racy dilemmas on the programme.

“We get people answering their phones mid-sex, we’ve got husbands on dating apps,” Mica revealed. Marcus continued: “Husbands getting caught with knickers in their pockets.”

Regarding their future television aspirations after conquering Banged Up and Celebrity MasterChef, the pair are keen on programmes where they can assist others.

“Anything where me and him are able to give that real male and female perspective, coming from a couple who’ve been together happily for 20 years,” she explained.

“Like the panel for Married at First Sight or a Love is Blind podcast. Love Island. Anything that involves relationships where we can come in and look at the contestants and say, ‘You can clearly see why that isn’t going to work.'”

The Labrish Show is now available on YouTube. Meanwhile Gogglebox airs Friday nights from 9pm.
