Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose appeared to have a meltdown on stage during the band’s latest concert in Buenos Aires, during the opening moments of Welcome To The Jungle

Rock legend Axl Rose stormed off after a meltdown on stage.

The 63-year-old Guns ‘N Roses frontman flipped out on stage at the band’s concert at Estadio Huracán in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Rose was seen losing his temper just moments into the band’s hit Welcome To The Jungle – the first song of the gig.

During the heated moment, which has been captured in videos posted online, the rockstar throws his microphone at drummer Isaac Carpenter’s drumkit. Rose rips off his leather jacket and storms off of the stage in protest.

He later returns to the stage, where he proceeds to kick the bass drum. “So I’ll just try and wing this,” Rose told the crowd, an apparent reference to technical issues.

A source has now claimed that Axl was upset as technical difficulties made it hard for him to hear properly during the set. They told the Daily Mail: “There were technical difficulties with Axl’s in ear monitors,’ the source said. ‘He could only hear the percussion instruments – and nothing else.’

‘The tech team was able to fix the issue by the third song and the show went on smoothly.” It comes after the band’s long-term drummer Frank Ferrer left the band earlier this year.

Ferrer, who had played for the band since 2006, suggested tension within the band as he expressed “disappointment” that he had left. He wrote: “The outpouring of love I have felt from the incredible fans of Guns N’ Roses and my peers over the past 24 hours has been tremendous.

“I will have immense gratitude and love always for Axl and the band, while at the same time, disappointment that this chapter came to an end. It has been an incredible 19 years.

“Guns N’ Roses has given me life-changing memories and experiences. A huge thanks to management, the crew, and fans for giving me memories that I will cherish for my lifetime. I hope I see you all again soon!”

Rob Gardner was the band’s original drummer. before Steven Adler took over and played on their debut 1987 album Appetite for Destruction, featuring the tracks Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, and Sweet Child O’Mine.

Last week, Slash hinted to Guitar World that the band has been working on new material, in what would be their first proper album in nearly two decades.

He told the outlet: “There’s so much material at this point – it’s a matter of having the discipline to sit down and f***ing get into it.” He also admitted that planning anything in Guns N’ Roses has always been “impossible”.
