Horror as doctor found with throat slit and ‘genitals removed’ as hospital staff arrested

WARNING, GRAPHIC CONTENT: Hospital staff were horrified after being forced to break into a room – only to find their coworker laying on the floor with his throat slit

A doctor was found with his throat slit and his “genitals removed” in horror scenes at his place of work. AHM Amirul Islam, a former leader of the Bangladesh Doctors’ Association, was found dead inside his hospital in Natore town earlier this week.

The 60-year-old was successful in his career, as he was also the convener of the Natore chapter of the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), an organisation of doctors, and president of the Clinic Owners and Diagnostic Association. Mahabub Rahman, officer-in-charge of Natore Sadar Police Station, told press what the authorities had found.

The doctor went to sleep around 1.30am in a room at the hospital. Staff members tried to wake him multiple times, but decided to break into the room after hours of no reply.

There, they found his dead body, and saw his throat had been cut as his corpse lay on the floor. They immediately called the police, who were dispatched to investigate the scene.

While the body was being recovered, it is known that multiple marks were also found along his skin and his genitals were severed.

Four hospital staffers were detained for interrogation. It is not yet confirmed who was behind the incident, nor their intentions.

Colleague and BNP leader, Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu, also visited the private healthcare facility and claimed that the doctor was murdered to destabilise the current political environment and demanded immediate arrest of the perpetrators.

The body was sent to the Rajshahi Medical College morgue for an autopsy, and police say they are working to find a motive behind the horrific scenes.

This murder comes shortly after a prisoner who said he’d happily “die in prison” was found dead in custody.

Officers are now looking into the death of Brian Wade, who was given a third life sentence at Bournemouth Crown Court just a few months before his death.

This was after he slit the throat of an inmate at HMP Guys Marsh – having been put there on two life sentences for murder and manslaughter.

He was first given a life sentence in 1966 for murder, and then again for manslaughter in 1998, and in 2022 he carried out the sick act of trying to kill an inmate in horrific fashion.

The inmate was found with his hands tied behind his back after being invited into the man’s cell for a “bondage” session, only for Wade to “kiss his cheek” before slitting his throat.

Wade’s death was this week confirmed at HMP Long Lartin in Worcestershire on August 9, with an investigation into what happened being launched. No details on how he died have been made public.
