Liverpool travel to Chelsea looking to return swiftly to winning ways after their recent wobble.

The Reds have been dealt two defeats in a row in the last week, losing 2-1 to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, before falling 1-0 to Galatasaray in the Champions League in midweek.

The Premier League champions’ unbeaten run was dashed in south London as Eddie Nketiah struck late on to snatch all three points for Palace, who preserved their own flawless record at the Merseysiders’ expense.

As for Chelsea, they bounced back from their 3-1 home defeat by Brighton by beating Benfica 1-0 on Jose Mourinho’s return to Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca has had to deal with an injury crisis in the early stages of the campaign – particularly at centre-half – and he is also missing his talisman Cole Palmer, who is struggling with a groin injury.
