A man has been microwaving various food items for 30 minutes to see how they hold up – and one of his experiments seriously annoyed his neighbours

A man who carries out random experiments in his microwave has managed to annoy his neighbours with a bizarre challenge – blasting a steak bake for a full half hour. Harry, who’s dubbed himself @Microwaving30Mins on TikTok, has been entertaining followers with his barmy endurance tests on different foods.

He leaves the food items in the microwave to see what carnage ensues. And spoiler alert: his Greggs steak bake didn’t fare too well after getting nuked in the appliance.

Hailing the high street bakery as Britain’s “greatest export”, Harry grabbed a steak bake and zapped it in his back garden. He asked: “What do you get when you add a buttery, flaky crust to 700 watts of micro power? This.”

The clip captured plumes of smoke pouring from the microwave as the pastry started to heat up.

Once the half-hour torture session wrapped up, Harry crumbled the cremated remains in his hands, exposing the steak bake’s innards that had turned completely black.

He also revealed that his antics haven’t exactly endeared him to the locals, confessing: “My neighbours already hate me by now for the steaky bakey smoke snakey, so I’ll add further to their disgruntlement by promising the next episode literally breaks the microwave.”

Harry’s quirky video has since gone viral, amassing nearly 700,000 views and 45,000 likes.

TikTok viewers were gobsmacked at just how catastrophically charred the steak bake became, with one commenting: “Why did I think it’s impossible for things to get burnt inside the microwave?”

Another chimed in: “The outside was so nice but inside dead.”

Meanwhile, a third asked if Harry might fancy shoving an “apple turnover from Greggs” in the microwave next. We pray for his neighbours if he listens to this suggestion!

His microwave experiments don’t stop there – he’s also zapped Percy Pigs, mayonnaise, marshmallows, a lettuce, and even a Cadbury’s Flake for half an hour.

Well, he’s definitely creative.
