Sick Watkins slid into the DMs of a fan who asked for a retweet and struck up a conversation before bombarding her with requests to appear on webcam naked and making a sick demand of her baby
Paedo rock star Ian Watkins asked a teenage fan if she and her baby daughter would be his “sex slaves”, she has claimed. Hannah, 31, was just 17 when she struck up conversation with the Lostprophets front man in 2012.
She admitted she was a “huge fan” of the band and spent her time trying to get a retweet from Watkins on social media site X, then known as Twitter, and he eventually sent her a private message with his skype details.
Hannah — not her real name — said the two began chatting but he soon bombarded her with requests to appear on webcam naked. Creepy Watkins then asked if she and her nine-month-old daughter come and meet him and if they would be his “sex slaves”.
Health care assistant Hannah says she was “obsessed” with Watkins — who was killed in prison last weekend while serving a 29-year sentenced for sick child sex offences — and admitted that she and her friend did consider meeting him.
She said: “I didn’t realise how much it has affected me – it’s really really bad. It’s sickening really – it makes me physically sick.
“He used to ask me to go on the webcam. At one point I did and he was there and I panicked so I shut it off. He then messaged me again and asked me to go on the webcam naked.
“He asked if me and my daughter could come and meet him – in my head I thought ‘no, I’m not doing that’. He asked if my baby would be able to call him dad. He asked me if we could be used as sex slaves.”
Evil Watkins was jailed in 2013 after he admitted trying to rape a fan’s baby and plotting to rape another infant. He filmed himself committing sex acts on a baby boy the day after Lostprophets’ final album Weapons was released.
He told Cardiff crown court he could not remember the attacks as he was a heavy user of crystal meth at the time. His two co-defendants — fans who were the mothers of victims — were jailed for 14 and 17 years.
Sentencing the three, Mr Justice Royce said the case “plunged into new depths of depravity” and said Watkins had a “corrupting influence”, and had shown a “complete lack of remorse”.
Hannah added: “My friend was there at one point when he was sending me messages, and we thought about going to meet him when he asked but we didn’t in the end.
“Not long after that he was arrested and then everything came out. I’m just glad in that aspect I had my wits about me that I didn’t go and meet him. I don’t know what would have happened.”
Watkins, who bragged about having “a gazillion girls and guys a day” at the height of his fame, died after his throat was slashed in HMP Wakefield on Saturday, October 11.
Despite his sickening crimes, he continued to write to groupies from behind bars and even sent his “secret fiancée” love letters, one of which arrived the day before he was killed.
Inmates Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43, have been charged with murdering Watkins and will appear before Leeds Crown Court next month.
